How to Write Child’s First Communion Invitations?
The Catholic Church just like other dominions has its own rites of passage. First communion for example; is a rite of passage that all Sunday school children should pass through.
The first communion is received around the age of 7-8 years. If your baby girl or boy is an active member of Catholic Sunday school and they are ready for the first communion, you will probably have to invite your close family members and friends to come and celebrate with you.
We all know that first communion is a cause of celebration just like a baby shower, graduation and other special occasions. When you are writing first communion invitations for a girl, there’s a lot to bear in mind.
You first of all have to know what to write in your first communion invitations and baptism invitations. It’s also important to note the guests to include on your list before you write their custom invitations to the event.
Who do you invite in your child’s first communion?
First communion celebrations unlike graduations and Christmas should be celebrated by the closest friends, sibling and family members. So, you don’t have to invite the whole neighborhood to your child’s occasion. Just spare some invitations for your parents, sisters and brothers and their families, the godparents and the family and eventually some few of your friends.

Although most people know how to respond to different occasions and dress accordingly, go the extra mile and specify how the guests should be dressed. Some of the guests will be particularly concerned about the dress code. Understand that differentchurches have different cultures. The guests may want to send a prior confirmation about their avail for the special day.For that reason, you should include all the details about the RSVP and the contacts. This is put at the end of the invitation.

How far in advance do you send out the first communion invitations?
It’s advisable to send the baptism invitations about 4-6 weeks before the D-day. The invitation should be sent close enough to the event so that your guests will not forget about the occasion. The invitations should also not be sent unreasonably late because the guests need time to schedule the event.
For the guests that will be traveling and those closest to you would appreciate a brief reminder a week or two to the D-day. Your child and the other Sunday school friends will be attending classes to prepare for the day. They should also be prepared in advance for this special day.
