11 Essential Oils for Hair Growth You Must Try For Long Hair

Essential oil is a concentrated hydrophobic liquid containing volatile chemical compounds from plants. Essential oils are also known as volatile oils, ethereal oils, aetherolea, or simply as the oil of the plant from which they were extracted such as oil of clove.

Also, essential oil is “essential” in the sense that it contains the essence of the plant’s frahaigrance – the characteristic fragrance of the plant from which it is derived.

Why Essential Oils?

The term essential used here does not mean indispensable as with the terms essential amino acid or essential fatty acids which are so called since they are nutritionally required by a given living organism. In contrast to fatty oils, essential oils typically evaporate completely without leaving a stain or residue.

Using oils in your hair care is a hot trend, from products infused with the essential oils to homemade coconut oil deep conditioners.

But they’re not new. For centuries, people have used oils for various medicinal and cosmetic purposes. Now, you can find them in many shampoos, serums, and other hair care products.

Essential oils and Carrier Oils

Essential Oils are distilled from the plant itself. They have the significant scent of the plant they came for. And they’re highly concentrated. For instance, it takes 220 pounds of lavender flowers to make a single pound of lavender oil.

Carrier oils also come from plants, but they have a more neutral smell. And they’re not necessarily distilled down like essential oils are. Using sets of essential oils improves mood and creates a positive atmosphere

Some benefits of carrier oils are listed below:
