1. Take a warm bath

Nothing screams comfort like a warm bath, and the steam will help open up your sinuses. Plus, if you have a bathtub at home, chances are there’s some bath bomb or bubble bar that you can turn your average tub into a spa-like experience in your very own bathroom. So, bust out those scented candles and treat yourself to some time to relax.

2. Watch your favorite movie or TV show

There’s nothing better than snuggling up on the couch with a blanket, some tissues, and your favorite movie or TV show. You might feel guilty binge-watching on a typical day, but since you’re sick, you’re allowed to do it. Go ahead, enjoy the heck out of that couch!

3. Take a nap

Napping is one of the best ways to keep your energy up when you’re sick. Sometimes the act of forcing yourself to stay awake can be exhausting, so take a nap and recharge. Just make sure that you aren’t sleeping for too long (like six hours) because you’ll end up feeling more tired than when you started.

4. Do something else

If you don’t want to take a bath, watch TV, or nap, do something else that will make you feel special and relaxed. You could take yourself out for a nice, warm cup of tea or read your favorite book. Even if you spend some time by yourself with no distractions, you’ll probably start to feel better.

Your mom might have told you to take your medicine, but she was right. You’ll be surprised how much better you feel after taking a few cough drops. But make sure you don’t take more medicine than what’s recommended.
