1. Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen Peroxide has antibacterial properties and keeps the gums and mouth germs free. It also whitens the teeth and protects them against periodontitis. Baking Soda is effective in removing plaque from the enamel, but since it’s a gritty substance it should be mixed to balance with water or hydrogen peroxide.

You can use this in two ways

  • Use a mixture of water and Hydrogen peroxide in equal quantity and swish it around the mouth. After one minute spit it out and rinse your mouth with water.
  • Another way is, mix equal amount of baking soda with hydrogen peroxide and make a runny paste. Brush with this normally for 30 seconds and then rinse your mouth.

Note: Baking soda can rip off the enamel which doesn’t grow back so make sure you have proper guidance about this.

2. Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has acetic acid which keeps the gums and mouth cleans from infection and keep teeth white.  It kills bacteria and is a natural disinfectant and cleaner.

It has the potential to erode the enamel of the teeth and hence must not be used regularly and for a long time. Also, always dilute it with water. This will help to make your teeth whiter and healthier.

You can use this:

  • By mixing apple cider vinegar with two times water and swishing it around the mouth for 5 minutes.
  • After that, spit it out and clean your mouth properly with clean water.

3. Oil pulling
